Try these super fun experiments at home. They only need simple things you can find in the kitchen!

1. Baking Soda Volcano 🌋
You need:
- A small cup or empty bottle
- 2 spoonfuls of baking soda
- A little dish soap
- Vinegar
- Red or orange food coloring (if you have it)
What to do:
- Put the baking soda and a squirt of dish soap into the cup.
- Add a drop or two of food coloring.
- Pour in the vinegar and step back!
What happens? The vinegar and baking soda mix and make lots of bubbles of a gas called carbon dioxide. The gas pushes the soapy liquid up and it overflows like a volcano!

2. Paper-Towel Rainbow 🌈
You need:
- Two glasses of water
- Two paper towels
- Washable markers (red, green, blue)
What to do:
- Color the ends of one paper towel with different colored stripes.
- Do the same with the other paper towel.
- Put one end of each towel into a glass of water and let them touch in the middle.
- Wait a few hours and watch the colors walk across!
What happens? Water climbs up the tiny holes in the paper towel. This is called capillary action. It carries the different colors along, just like water travels up real plants!

3. Dancing Raisins 💍
You need:
- A clear glass
- Fizzy soda water or lemonade
- A few raisins
What to do:
- Fill the glass with the fizzy drink.
- Drop in the raisins.
- Watch them swim up and down!
What happens? Bubbles of gas stick to the raisin and lift it up. When they pop at the top, the raisin sinks again. Up, down, up, down — it looks like the raisins are dancing!

4. Magic Milk 🥧
You need:
- A shallow plate of milk
- Food coloring (a few colors)
- Dish soap on the tip of a cotton swab
What to do:
- Drop little dots of food coloring into the milk.
- Touch the soapy cotton swab to the center.
- Watch the colors swirl like magic!
What happens? Soap breaks the surface of the milk and pushes the color around. It looks like magic, but it is science — the soap is too strong for the milk's shiny surface film!

5. Can You Sink a Grape? 🜱
You need:
- A glass of plain water
- A glass of very salty water
- A grape
What to do:
- Drop the grape in the plain water. What does it do?
- Now drop it in the salty water. What happens this time?
What happens? In plain water, the grape sinks. Salty water is heavier, so it pushes the grape up and it floats! This is the same trick that makes you float more easily in the sea.
